If you mean to ask whether it will poison your food the answer is maybe maybe not because limestone is mostly calcium carbonate it s a sedimentary rock so other non organic stuff like shell sand and pebbles can be mixed in but organic matter will have long ago dissappeared the maybe comes from the fact that because travertine is highly porous some stone merchants use epoxy fill to create a smooth surface.
